Early doors, Andres Iniesta tried an audacious 40-yard shot to break the deadlock. Just before the half hour Alexis Sanchez curled in a beauty off the post to put Barcelona ahead. Barcelona sealed their win in the final minutes before the break, Alexis Sanchez bagged his second from a brilliant (intentional??) Xavi back heel and David Villa made it 3-0 two minutes later. Five minutes after the break Lionel Messi got on the scoresheet with the fourth.
